Tips For Staying Safe
at Night
We know getting home safely after late shifts can be challenging.
The Southwest Business Improvement District (SWBID) has partnered with the District of Columbia's Highway Safety Office (HSO) to support Southwest's hospitality and entertainment workers traveling home after late shifts.
Through our Mobility Innovation District initiative, we examined the transportation challenges faced by hospitality and entertainment workers, particularly those with non-traditional work schedules. We heard firsthand about concerns ranging from limited late-night transit options and Metro closures to parking issues and safety while commuting after dark. You can read our report here.
Along with your safety care packages that we distributed to businesses in Southwest, here is a list of resources available in the District to help you get home safely after dark.
